S.2803 : An original bill making appropriations for Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies programs for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2005, and for other purposes.

S.278 : A bill to make certain adjustments to the boundaries of the Mount Naomi Wilderness Area.

S.612 : A bill to revise the boundary of the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area in the States of Utah and Arizona – companion bill, H.R. 788 became law.

S.1427 : An original bill making appropriations for Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies programs for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2004, and for other purposes.

S.1815 : A bill to designate the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah as the George E. Whalen Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center – passed as part of S. 1156.

S.277 : A bill to authorize the Secretary of the Interior to construct an education and administrative center at the Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge in Box Elder County, Utah – funded through Emergency Supplemental Appropriations.

S.1678 : A bill to provide for the establishment of the Uintah Research and Curatorial Center for Dinosaur National Monument in the States of Colorado and Utah, and for other purposes.

S.1876 : A bill to authorize the Secretary of the Interior to convey certain lands and facilities of the Provo River Project.

S.AMDT.3244 to S.2400 : To prohibit the storage of mercury from the National Defense Stockpile at certain facilities.

S.AMDT.3373 to S.2400 : To require a report on encroachment issues affecting Utah Test and Training Range, Utah.

S.AMDT.516 to S.762 : Authorizes Army to accept funds from state of Utah – Dugway runway.

S.AMDT.816 to S.1050 : To require a Department of Defense study of the adequacy of the beryllium industrial base.

S.AMDT.1690 to H.R.2754 : To provide for a transfer of funds to the Bureau of Reclamation of conduct a feasibility study for the purposes of providing water to Park City and the Snyderville Basin, Utah.

S.AMDT.1702 to H.R.2754 : To provide a definition of rural Utah for the purposes of the environmental assistance program.

S.AMDT.1771 to H.R.2691 : To provide authority for the Forest Service to sell certain excess facilities on the Wasatch-Cache National Forest.

S.AMDT.2073 to H.R.2673 : Changes eligibility for communities to participate in distance learning, telemedicine and broadband programs.

S.AMDT.2091 to H.R.2673 : To provide for an increase in the Food Stamp Program.

S.AMDT.2098 to H.R.2673 : To define the term "eligible rural community" for broadband grants and loans.

S.AMDT.2100 to H.R.2673 : Relative to the Ginnie Mae mortgage-backed securities pools – allows Ginnie Mae to participate in the Multi-family Housing Guarantee program.

S.AMDT.2103 to H.R.2673 : Relative to the processing worker demo pilot project.

S.AMDT.2104 to H.R.2673 : To make a technical correction to the rural economic development loans and grants program – requires the Secretary of Agriculture to publish rule within 60 days of carrying out rural economic development loan and grant program.

S.AMDT.2126 to H.R.2673 : To authorize the Secretary of Agriculture to make funding and other assistance available through the emergency watershed protection program to repair and prevent damage to non-Federal land in watersheds that have been impaired by fires initiated by the Federal Government and to waive cost sharing requirements for the funding and assistance.

107th Congress


The following measures were introduced by Senator Bennett and signed into law during the 107th Congress:

  S.CON.RES.82 : A concurrent resolution authorizing the 2002 Winter Olympics Torch Relay to come onto the Capitol Grounds.

S.139 : A bill to assist in the preservation of archaeological, paleontological, zoological, geological, and botanical artifacts through construction of a new facility for the University of Utah Museum of Natural History, Salt Lake City, Utah.

S.1205 : A bill to adjust the boundaries of the Mount Nebo Wilderness Area, and for other purposes.

S.1240 : A bill to provide for the acquisition of land and construction of an interagency administrative and visitor facility at the entrance to American Fork Canyon, Utah, and for other purposes.

S.1361 : A bill to amend the Central Utah Project Completion Act to clarify the responsibilities of the Secretary of the Interior with respect to the Central Utah Project , to redirect unexpended budget authority for the Central Utah Project for wastewater treatment and reuse and other purposes, to provide for prepayment of repayment contracts for municipal and industrial water delivery facilities, and to eliminate a deadline for such prepayment.

S.1456 : A bill to facilitate the security of the critical infrastructure of the United States, to encourage the secure disclosure and protected exchange of critical infrastructure information, to enhance the analysis, prevention, and detection of attacks on critical infrastructure, to enhance the recovery from such attacks, and for other purposes.

S.AMDT.216 to H.CON.RES.83 : To call for a quick stimulus for the American economy, linked to a long-term stimulus to guarantee economic expansion and job creation, and oppose a $439 billion tax increase that would threaten economic growth.

S.AMDT.503 to S.1 : To amend the eligibility requirements for the rural education initiative to account for geographic isolation.

S.AMDT.4524 to H.R.5093 : To set aside forest legacy program funds for the Castle Rock Phase 2 project and Chalk Creek (Blonquist) project, Utah.
