U.S. Capitol Virtual Tours: Senate Wing, House Wing The United States Senate The Russell, Dirksen, and Hart Senate Office Buildings are located on Constitution Avenue on the north side of the Capitol. These buildings house the offices of all 100 senators and the 21 standing committees of the Senate and are open to the public. Tours of the Capitol building booked through Senator Bennett’s office include a brief tour of these buildings. The United States House of Representatives The Longworth, Cannon and Rayburn House Office Buildings are located on Independence Avenue on the south side of the Capitol grounds. They house the offices of all 435 representatives and the 20 standing committees of the House and one permanent select committee.
Court sessions begin the first Monday in October and continue two weeks per month through April. Courtroom seats are available to visitors on a first-come, first-served basis. A limited viewing of the courthouse is available but subject to the court hearing schedule. Call the Supreme Court for information. When the Court is in recess: Twenty-minute courtroom lectures are available every hour on the half-hour. Groups of six or less may schedule tours through Senator Bennett’s office.
