The home of the president attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors each
year. The tour includes such celebrated rooms as the East Room, the State
Dining Room, the Red, Green and Blue Rooms and the president’s Library.
Tours are conducted 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
Due to heightened security, tickets for groups of 10 are required and may
be obtained free of charge from Senator Bennett’s office two months
in advanced (limited quantities).
For groups larger than 10, tickets may be obtained free of charge from the
White House tour office. All tour requests made through Senator Bennett’s
office must be received in writing in advance.
All tours are significantly enhanced if visitors stop by the White House
Visitor Center located at the southeast corner of 15th and E Streets, NW,
before or after their tour. The Center is open daily from 7:30 a.m. until
4:00 p.m.

The headquarters of American foreign policy features displays of fine 18th
century furniture and an Americana Collection in the diplomatic reception
rooms. Tours are available through Senator Bennett’s office for groups
up to 25 people at various times Monday through Friday. Children under the
age of 12 are not recommended for this tour. Please request at least two
weeks in advance.

Federal
Bureau of Investigation
As of August 30, 2002, FBI and the Indoor Range tours are closed until further
notice, pending extensive renovations. Please call for periodic updates
on the status of the tour.

National Archives
The National Archives is the repository for legislative documents and historical
records of Congress, as well as the entire federal government. See the
Constitution, the Charters of Freedom, the Declaration of Independence,
and other famous documents. Find your "roots" in the extensive
genealogical and census files. Admission is free but reservations are
recommended to avoid wait time.

Old
Executive Office Building
This Victorian building, originally constructed to house the State, War
and Navy Departments, is an example of the architectural and decorative
taste of the late 1800s.
Tours discontinued until further notice.
Department of Treasury
Designed in Greek Revival style, this building is an example of 19th century
construction technology and decoration.
Tours are held on Saturday 9:00 a.m., 9:45 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 11:15 a.m.,
excluding some holiday weekends. Tour duration: 60 minutes.

of Defense
The Pentagon is the command center for our nation’s defense. Tours
are available to schools, educational organizations, and other select
groups

Voice
of America
The Voice of America (VOA) is a U.S. Government Radio Network which broadcasts
in over 44 languages around the world and is located at the VOA headquarters
in the North building of the Department of Health and Human Services. All
groups should make reservations for the 45 minute tour.

National
Aquarium
The oldest aquarium in the nation, located in the basement of the Department
of Commerce, displays more than 1,200 specimens, including sea turtles,
alligators and tropical clownfish. Special shows include shark and piranha
feeding. Admission is charged.

Government Printing Office
Legislative, executive and judicial branch documents are printed by the
Government Printing Office and made available to the general public through
the Depository Library Program, the internet and through sales.
